METHODS AND RESULTS:
n-Hentriacontanol has been isolated from pod husk as well as seeds whereas trans-2-Tridecene-1,13-dioic acid, a new compound isolated from pod husk of Tephrosia purpurea.
CONCLUSIONS:
The compounds have been characterized on the basis of spectral data analysis and chemical reactions.
