Cytotoxic ent-kaurane diterpenoids from Isodon nervosus.[Pubmed: 23939796]
Four new ent-kaurane diterpenoids, rabdonervosins G-J (1-4, resp.), were isolated from the leaves and stems of Isodon nervosus. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analyses, including 1D-, 2D-NMR and HR mass spectra. Compound 2 showed potent cytotoxicity against the HepG2 and PC-9/ZD cell lines with IC50 values of 2.36 and 6.07 μM, respectively, and compound 3 exhibited cytotoxicity against the HepG2 and CNE2 cell lines with IC50 values of 8.64 and 9.77 μM, respectively.
Chemical constituents of Isodon nervosus and their cytotoxicity.[Pubmed: 19431012]
Two new ent-kaurane diterpenoids, 6,20,15alpha-trihydroxy-6,7-seco-1alpha,7-olide-ent-kaur-16-ene (1) and 7beta,12alpha-dihydroxy-6beta,15beta-diacetoxy-7alpha,20-epoxy-ent-kaur-2,16-dien-1-one (2), together with the six known compounds, were isolated from the aerial part of Isodon nervosus. The structures of the new compounds were determined by spectral methods (1D, 2D NMR, and MS). Six compounds were assayed for their cytotoxicity against HL60, SMMC-7721, and HeLa human cell lines. Compounds 5, 7, and 8 showed significant cytotoxicity.
ent-Kaurane Diterpenoids from Isodon nervosus.[Pubmed: 18345641]
A pentacyclic ent-kauranoid, nervonin A ( 1), with an unprecedented cyclobutane moiety in the structure, and nine other new ent-kaurane diterpenoids, nervonins B-J ( 2- 10), along with 10 known ones ( 11- 20), were isolated from Isodon nervosus. Their structures were elucidated by detailed spectroscopic analysis. All diterpenoids were assayed for their cytotoxicity against K562, A549, and HepG2 human cell lines. Compounds 2, 11, 16, 17, and 20 showed significant cytotoxicity.
