Ganoderic acid C2, isolated from the spores, has cytotoxicity in vitro against Meth-A and LLC cell lines.[1]
CHCl(3) extract of the fruiting body of Ganoderma lucidum was found to show inhibitory activity on human aldose reductase in vitro, and ganoderic acid C2 and ganoderenic acid A is essential in eliciting the inhibitory activity considering the much lower activity of their methyl esters.[2]
Ganoderenic acid C2 exhibits hepatoprotective activities against DL-galactosamine-induced cell damage in HL-7702 cells. [3]
