Racemodine, a pyrrolizidine alkaloid from Senecio racemosus
Phytochemistry Volume 32, Issue 1, 23 December 1992, Pages 224–226
Phytochemical studies on the basic fraction of Senecio racemosus have resulted in the isolation of a new saturated pyrrolizidine diester alkaloid, Racemodine along with 7-angelylplatynecine and dihydroretrorsine. The structure of the new alkaloid was established from spectral and chemical studies including 2D NMR.
