A new strategy to kill tumors

The goal of a tumor is simple: grow, grow, and grow by making more cancer cells. But this usually means that the growth rate is so fast that oxygen supply becomes scarce, and cells in the tumor begin to suffocate. Without oxygen, these dividing cells will try to make enough aspartic acid, which is a key component in many cellular processes.

This was developed by the research team of Kivan
