METHODS AND RESULTS:
A new macrocyclic diamide, 22-membered macrocyclic diamide, named cyclodicaprylamide(2), and five known compounds, bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate(1), Ethyl 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoate(3), ethyl 3,4,5-trimethoxycinnamate (4), (+)-syringaresinol(5), loliolide(6), were isolated from the roots of Rauvolfia yunnanensis Tsiang.
CONCLUSIONS:
Their structures were elucidated based on NMR, 2D NMR, and MS spectrum, respectively. They were obtained from it for the first time.
