Alkaloids in Melodinus fusiformis.[Reference: WebLink]

To study the alkaloids in Melodinus fusiformis.
METHODS AND RESULTS:
The dried herbs of Melodinus fusiformis were immersed with HCl,after the enchyma passes the strong ion resin,was alkalified with ammonia solution,dried,then eluting with 95% ethanol,condense to gain extraction.Silica gel,Sephadex LH-20,Rp-18 Column were used to isolate and purify the constituents,and their structures were identified by spectral analysis and their physical characters. Nine compounds were isolated from Melodinus fusiformis,and identified as tabersonine(Ⅰ),11-hydroxy-tabersonine(Ⅱ),venalstonidine(Ⅲ),pachysiphine(Ⅳ),venalstonine(Ⅴ),scandine(Ⅵ),10-hydroxy-scandine(Ⅶ),Scandine Nb-oxide(Ⅷ) and 5-methoxy-strictamine(Ⅸ).
CONCLUSIONS:
Compounds Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅸ are isolated from Melodinus fusiformis for the first time,and compound Ⅸ is isolated from the plants of Melodinus for the first time.
