Cancer Research

Cancer is a term used to define a group of diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control, are able to invade neighboring tissues/organs and metastasize. Cancer has been characterized by six hallmarks; self sufficiency in proliferative growth signals, insensitivity to growth inhibitors, evasion of apoptosis, limitless replicative potential, ability to develop blood vessels (angiogenesis), and tissue invasion and metastasis.

  1. Cat.No. Product Name Information/Activity
  2. BCC3856 Sodium Orthovanadate Sodium orthovanadate is an inhibitor of protein tyrosine phosphatases, alkaline phosphatases and a number of ATPases, most likely acting as a phosphate analogue. Sodium Orthovanadate chemical structure
  3. BCC2470 Mithramycin A Plicamycin is a selective specificity protein 1 (Sp1) inhibitor. Plicamycin inhibits the growth of various cancers by decreasing Sp1 protein. Mithramycin A chemical structure
  4. BCC2471 Thiolutin Thiolutin (Acetopyrrothin) is a disulfide-containing antibiotic and anti-angiogenic compound produced by Streptomyces. Thiolutin inhibits the JAMM metalloproteases Csn5, Associated-molecule-with-the-SH3-Domain-of-STAM (AMSH) and Brcc36. Thiolutin is a potent and selective inhibitor of endothelial cell adhesion accompanied by rapid induction of Heat-shock protein beta-1 (Hsp27) phosphorylation. Thiolutin chemical structure
  5. BCC7886 BTZO 1 BTZO-1 binds to Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) with a Kd value of 68.6 nM, and its binding requires the N-terminal Pro1. BTZO-1 can activate antioxidant response element (ARE)-mediated gene expression and suppress oxidative stress-induced cardiomyocyte apoptosis in vitro. BTZO 1 chemical structure
  6. BCC6816 Chicago Sky Blue 6B 2610-05-1 Chicago Sky Blue 6B chemical structure
  7. BCC6161 (±)-CPSI 1306 (±)-CPSI-1306 is an orally available antagonist of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF). (±)-CPSI 1306 chemical structure
  8. BCC5914 ER 27319 maleate 1204480-26-1 ER 27319 maleate chemical structure
  9. BCC2096 Gabexate mesylate Gabexate mesylate is a Factor X inhibitor; serine protease inhibitor . Gabexate mesylate chemical structure
  10. BCC6023 4-IPP 4-IPP (4-Iodo-6-phenylpyrimidine) is a specific suicide substrate and irreversible inhibitor of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF). 4-IPP chemical structure
  11. BCC5427 ISO-1 ISO-1 is a macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) antagonist with an IC50 of 7 μM. ISO-1 chemical structure
