General tips | For obtaining a higher solubility , please warm the tube at 37 ℃ and shake it in the ultrasonic bath for a while.Stock solution can be stored below -20℃ for several months. We recommend that you prepare and use the solution on the same day. However, if the test schedule requires, the stock solutions can be prepared in advance, and the stock solution must be sealed and stored below -20℃. In general, the stock solution can be kept for several months. Before use, we recommend that you leave the vial at room temperature for at least an hour before opening it. |

Effects ofneo-clerodane diterpenes fromTeucrium on feeding behavior of colorado potato beetle larvae.[Pubmed:24234634]
J Chem Ecol. 1995 Sep;21(9):1375-86.
Treatment of potato leaf disks with fourneo-clerodane diterpenes fromTeucrium (eriocephalin, teucrin-A, Teucvin, and teuscorolide) significantly reduced feeding by larvae ofLeptinotarsa decemlineata (Colorado potato beetle). Choice and no-choice tests suggest that teuscorolide acts as a feeding deterrent, whereas the antifeedant activity of teucrin-A, Teucvin, and eriocephalin is likely associated with a toxic mode of action. Nutritional tests, antifeedant simulation assays, and posttreatment studies confirmed that teucrin-A can be categorized by its mode of action as a toxin, rather than as a feeding deterrent.
[Chemical constituentes of Teucrium bidentatum Hemsl].[Pubmed:10743203]
Zhongguo Zhong Yao Za Zhi. 1997 Feb;22(2):105, 128.
Two diterpenes were isolated from the herb Teucrium bidentatum and identified as Teucvin and teupernin A on the basis of chemical properties and spectral data. They were obtained from T. bidentatum for the first time.
12-epi-teuscordonin and other neoclerodanes from Teucrium bicolor.[Pubmed:2809611]
J Nat Prod. 1989 Jul-Aug;52(4):871-4.
A new neoclerodane, (12R)-epi-teuscordonin [1] has been isolated from Teucrium bicolor. The boat conformation of ring B and the configuration at C-12 in 1 were established by nOe experiments. The known diterpenoids montanin C, Teucvin, 12-epi-Teucvin, teupolin I, 12-epi-teupolin I, and (12S)-teucrin H-2 were also isolated from the extract. Montanin C [2] was found to be moderately toxic in the brine shrimp bioassay.
New furanoditerpenoids from Croton jatrophoides.[Pubmed:19090454]
Planta Med. 2009 Feb;75(3):262-7.
Four furanoditerpenoids were isolated from roots of Croton jatrophoides (Euphorbiaceae) collected in Tanzania. In addition to the known compounds penduliflaworosin and Teucvin (mallotucin A), a new Teucvin isomer, which was named isoTeucvin, and a furanoditerpenoid with a new skeleton, for which the name jatrophoidin was adopted, were isolated. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods such as ESI-MS and NMR, including (1)H-, (13)C-, and two-dimensional NMR. The crystal structures of isoTeucvin and jatrophoidin were solved using single-crystal X-ray diffraction, by which we also established the absolute configuration of jatrophoidin. The refined crystal structure of isoTeucvin has the same (absolute) configuration as jatrophoidin, although the X-ray diffraction data of isoTeucvin were not conclusive with respect to the absolute configuration.
