Studies on Chemical Constituents of Rheum glabricaule Sam.(Ⅱ)[Reference: WebLink]

To study the chemical constituents in the root of Rheum glabricaule.
METHODS AND RESULTS:
Compounds were isolated by various column chromatographies with silica gel.Their structures were elucidated by spectral analysis(MS,~1H-NMR,~(13)C-NMR) and chemical evidence. Five compounds were isolated from this plant,and identified as dibutyl phthalate(Ⅰ),emodin-8-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(Ⅱ), Aloe-emodin-3-(hydroxymethyl)-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside(Ⅲ),β-sitosterol-3-O-β-D-(6′-O-acyl)-glucopyranoside(Ⅳ) and kaempferol(Ⅴ),respectively.
CONCLUSIONS:
All above compounds are obtained from this plant for the first time.
