The new glycoside, branchynoside, was assigned as 2-(3, 4-dimethoxyphenyl)ethyl 3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-4-O-(3, 4-dihydroxycinnamoyl)-β-D-glucopyranoside from studies on partial methylation and methanolysis products and from analysis of spectroscopic evidence. |
