Schizophrenia Research

Schizophrenia is a chronic, debilitating mental disorder affecting 1-2% of the global population. Symptoms are split into two types; 'positive' symptoms, including delusions and hallucinations, and 'negative' symptoms, including anhedonia and lack of motivation. Studies suggest that genetics, early environment, neurobiology, psychological and social processes are important contributory factors; some recreational and prescription drugs appear to cause or worsen symptoms. Several neurobiological alterations in brain structure, physiology and neurochemistry have been documented, along with an ever-increasing list of susceptibility genes.

  3. BCC5803 T 0156 hydrochloride 324572-93-2 T 0156 hydrochloride chemical structure
  4. BCC6227 TC-E 5005 959705-64-7 TC-E 5005 chemical structure
  5. BCN1258 Theophylline Theophylline is a nonselective phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitor, adenosine receptor blocker, and histone deacetylase (HDAC) activator. Theophylline chemical structure
  6. BCC7333 Trequinsin hydrochloride 78416-81-6 Trequinsin hydrochloride chemical structure
  7. BCN2609 Vinpocetine Vinpocetine (Ethyl apovincaminate) is a derivative of the alkaloid Vincamine that blocks voltage-gated Na+ channels. The IC50 value of Vinpocetine on direct IKK inhibition in the cell-free system is 17.17 μM. Vinpocetine is a phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitor and inhibits NF-κB-dependent inflammatory responses by directly targeting IκB kinase complex (IKK), and has been widely used for the treatment of cerebrovascular disorders. Vinpocetine chemical structure
  8. BCC7190 YM 976 191219-80-4 YM 976 chemical structure
  9. BCC6859 Zaprinast Zaprinast (M&B 22948) is an inhibitor of cGMP-selective Phosphodiesterases(PDEs). Zaprinast is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPR) 35 agonist which activates rat GPR35 strongly and activates human GPR35 moderately. Zaprinast reduces vessel remodeling through antiproliferative and proapoptotic effects. Zaprinast chemical structure
  10. BCC2069 Zardaverine Zardaverine is a newly developed dual-selective PDE3/4 inhibitor with IC50 values of 0.5 uM and 0.8 uM respectively. Zardaverine chemical structure
